Porn? Or Artistic Nude?

I'm aware this is a hot topic.
However, DeviantART has a policy in place that is well defined in their FAQ.
DA's Porn definition: help.deviantart.com/565/
I've seen artworks of a variety of mediums classified as Porn under the above definition & removed from DA. In most cases it was deserved, though there have been a few that weren't.
Except in this one case.
I wont link to the Deviation, as I don't want to give it page views it doesn't deserve from an ART site, but needless to say it violates the first part of the definition. Yet when reported to DeviantART moderators, they responded with:
"Your Prohibited Content Violation Report on [dev link removed] was reviewed by a member of the staff and action was taken, marking the report as Invalid.
Additionally, the following comment was provided:
A reviewing member of staff has determined that this deviation does not meet the definition for pornography which is currently in place. No action needed."
The Deviation reported depicted a woman lying on the floor, curled on her stomach in pleasure, with her hand between her legs & fingertip in her anus. How on earth does that not violate the No Porn Policity under their definitions?? Especially:
• Masturbation
Hands should not come into contact with genitalia in a manner which is clearly a display of fondling or masturbation.
According to the report link they sent me back in their reply, its been reported twice in as many days since it was uploaded.

Good Friends are Priceless.

I have had a wonderful weekend & have decided that I am exceptionally lucky & likely to be forever in debt to my beautiful friends.
Saturday, Sunday & Monday were almost constant photo shoots. It's fantastic to be up & moving about again, though the pain is still a major factor... but three days out of that damn wheelchair were lovely & uplifting! I'm also thoroughly loving the fact that my eyesight is nearly all better. The double vision is mostly gone, & the greyscale in the right eye I can now at least compensate for.
The styles for the shoots were various & strewn throughout the myriad of choices from conceptual to classic... & my friends came through for me as models for various projects as well as helping me get to shoots & set up for others.
Thank you very much to toclafane-badwolf & his "I can lift heavy things" wonderfulness at the last minute. And for being a wondrous chauffeur with some fantastic location suggestions to add to the bunch.
For helping carry my gear when it started getting to be too much for me on location. For modeling some of my crazy ideas even though he hates being in front of a lens. For driving around 3/4 of Perth & trekking through University campuses to find a place that might have the right lines, light & colours to match.
Thank you also to hatefueled for her innate ability to not only be willing to be photographed & look fantastic, but also to her fantastic judgment of what poses might work & her lightning fast movement between poses. And her awesome expressions & cheekiness. Not to mention being able to change in the backseat of a moving car while still wearing her seat belt.
Thank you to daaargh for not only letting me turn my camera on him instead of Marvin (draganin.deviantart.com/art/Mr…), but for playing up & posing & digging out some of his awesome shoes. And for topping off a lovely evening with the perfect Cab Merlot.
Still life, alternative fashion, portraiture, street, nude, lingerie, shoes, commercial, lifestyle.... SO MANY PHOTOS TO PROCESS! But it is great. I don't mind at all. It's one thing to be paid to photograph a model. Its another to then have my darling friends allow me to test ideas & to be astoundingly patient while I work on learning lighting with flash. Yesms, I'm far too used to working with either natural light or low light lenses. Not being locked into 75mm focal lengths is lovely. The wide angle & flash combination really is opening opportunities & pushing the boundaries of my current style. I'm loving it.
So thank you also to my father for the loan of his 1978 Vivitar flash that is shockingly compatible with my K10d. Learning flash photography at the same time as being forced into learning it on nothing but manual operation is fantastic fun!
I'm about a third of the way through processing them all, & my Cambodian shots are on hold while I do so. I've put a couple up tonight:

Much of my work does not reach the public eye.
When photographing clients or models I work with Release Forms; dictating the terms of consent and specific use outlines for the photographs taken within a session. Upon being confronted with an expectation tonight with regard to a recent session, I felt it necessary to clarify certain aspects which appear to be unclear.
Recently I had a session with a model that was shot under a Limited Release. Due to the nature of the shoot, the use agreement related to the photographs from this session restrict them from being placed on the internet or made public, except in the case of my own folio as an example of prior work for serious clients. A mutual friend of the model & myself approached me tonight enquiring if I had completed processing these photographs and I replied that I had. When he asked to see them I denied his request, informing him that the release for the images is private. I did not expect for him to take this as a personal affront nor expect my need to justify my stance on the matter.
If I have a contract with a client or model, my relationship with/to them does not have an affect on my respect for the agreement between us.
In the event of an alteration to the limitations of release for photographs from a particular session, the model & myself are to sign an annexure to the original release. Verbal changes to a written contract are not acceptable.
Who you are, and your relationship to the model is of no relevance. I do not care if you are the husband, wife, or best friend of the model; if the release does not include you then you are not entitled to view the images.

The Free Cleo Fund

Would you have imagined a medical practitioner would hold their patient hostage?
Cleo, one of Pete's (
) two beloved cats, was diagnosed with cancer on 21st January. She's been in the vet since. Its the longest Moppy & Cleo have ever been apart in 15 years and Moppy wasnt taking it well.
Pete tried to pick her up last week & was told by the receptionist/accounts/admin that he couldn't do the payment plan his vet had offered him after all, & they wont give him Cleo until he pays the entire amount upfront. He's been going to the same vet for 13 years, they have his history of payments & yet they STILL suggest he's going to do a runner.
They wouldn't even allow him to find out the post surgery test results as its the final consult & he has to pay the funds up front first. While she stays in the vet without him being able to pay, & with them refusing to let her leave, she's going to incur further charges at $20 per day.
Meanwhile, he was dramatically short the amount of money they wanted ($1,500)& they were holding Cleo ransom.
On Friday night hatefueled & I began a print sales fundraiser (with all costs above physical printing going to the vet bill to get Cleo home ASAP). Saturday morning I received a phonecall with the offer of a short-term interest free loan to get Cleo out on monday & the fundraiser can pay back the loan, which means that she's not incurring further costs now.
So Cleo came home on Monday evening (4th Feb). They made Pete wait in the clinic for nearly 2 hours after he paid the money before they would give him Cleo after a consult with the vet (which took less than 10 mins). They had removed Cleo's spleen in the operation the other week after finding it full of cancer... but the tests they wouldn't tell Pete the result of until he paid them showed various points in her liver also have cancer as well as a few other places. Her prospectus is 1 month to a maximum of 12 months. Yet they were going to hold her, incurring fees, for as long as it took; not caring if she would die in their "care" waiting to go home.
She looked terrible when she finally came out, but she was soooooo happy to see Pete.
